Sarah Bush Open House in Arcola

The new Sarah Bush Lincoln Arcola Clinic will be hosting an open house and mini health fair on Tuesday, November 11, from 11am to 1pm. Tours, refreshements and door prizes will be provided.

St. John's Church Pork Loin Dinner
November 23, 2008

Time: 10:30 AM-1:00 PM

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Arcola will have a pork loin takeout dinner which includes baked potato, green beans and dinner roll. Meals may be picked up on the west side of the church. The cost is $8 per meal and tickets can be bought from Marcie Foran (268-3363) or Margaret Thompson (268-4340). Tickets can also be purchased at the parish office (268-3766).

A Night In Bethlehem

Time: 5:00 PM-7:30 PM

Step back in time to ancient Bethlehem where you will experience the taste, smells, sights, and sounds of what daily life was like when Jesus was born. Tour the marketplace and stop in the perfumery, trinket shop, toy store, dye shop, grain mill, farmers market, and bakery. Visit a Jewish family home to see Jewish customs and traditions of the time. There's something for everyone! Please call the church office to register in advance at 268-4287.

Bring the kids and watch Santa ride into downtown Main Street on a fire truck in a parade to kick off the Christmas season! Santa will be available at the historic train depot at 135 N. Oak after the parade to visit with children and give out treat bags.

Arcola United Methodist Annual Christmas Walk

Tour a variety of Arcola homes dressed up for the holidays during the Annual Arcola Christmas Walk. Stop in at the Candy Cane Cafe where you can enjoy sweet treats and warm drinks at Arcola United Methodist and purchase tickets. Tickets for the walk and admission to Candy Cane Cafe are $10. Admission to the Candy Cane Cafe only is $4.

Winter Ball Tickets Now Available!!

Celebrate the holidays at the Arcola Chamber of Commerce Winter Ball with drinks, dinner, and dancing at the Kaskaskia Country Club. Dancing will kickoff with DJ Troye Kauffman of Groovy Gigs and at 8:00 PM Jim Easter & the Artistics will play. Tickets can be purchased from Arcola Chamber of Commerce board members. Tickets are $55 per couple.
