The Arcola Chamber of Commerce is a proud sponsor of the Miss Arcola Pageant. Re-organized by co-directors Debbie Romine and Morgan McQueen, the pageant sets the standard for quality in the area. Two of our recent Miss Arcolas went on to become Miss Moultrie-Douglas County. Current Miss Arcola and Miss Moultrie Douglas County, Emily Romine, went on to compete in the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant and finished in the top 12.
Preparations are underway for the 22nd Miss Arcola Pageant to be held Saturday, April 24th at the Arcola Jr. High Gymnasium. This year the format will again mirror the Moultrie-Douglas County Pageant with three categories: Little Miss, Jr. Miss, and Miss.
Contestants for Little Miss Arcola must be 4-6 years of age by July 1, 2010.
Contestants for Jr. Miss Arcola Must be a minimum of 13 years of age by July 1, 2010 and not reached her 17th birthday by January of the following year 2011.
Contestants for Miss Arcola must be a minimum of 17 years of age by July1, 2010 and not have reached her 22nd birthday by January of the following year 2011.
