As the Executive Director of the Arcola Chamber of Commerce, I am committed to not only serving the needs of the Arcola Chamber, but also to finding the best strategies to promote Arcola and enhance its economic and cultural strengths.
Having your support is not only helpful to sustain the Chamber financially, but also allows us to achieve a common goal: to support the commercial needs of Arcola now, and to have the foresight to keep Arcola commercially competitive in the future. Your partnership with the Chamber puts you among the leading planners and decision‐makers in Arcola. Your active membership in our Chamber carries with it a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in knowing that you are doing your share to ensure Arcola’s success.
Chambers are composed of volunteers serving as committee workers, board members and officers, and financial supporters. The staff devotes effort to build a strong organization and carry out the policies determined by the Board of Directors to best represent the interest of the membership. The membership meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at noon. Email and phone reminders are made prior to each meeting. The Chamber Board meets the day before (Tuesday) the monthly membership meeting.
Businesses, individuals and organizations are all eligible to belong to the Chamber of Commerce. Dues are structured so that even the smallest business can be a member in supporting Arcola and the surrounding area. More detailed dues information, benefits package and application are included in this packet. Applications can also be downloaded from our Join the Chamber page.
The Chamber of Commerce sponsors events that attract thousands of visitors to Arcola. Your dues will help support advertising campaigns that include magazine, newspaper, radio, signage, brochures, television, website and community enhancement. The Chamber’s Board of Directors establishes the membership schedule. Membership dues may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense. Dues paid to the Chamber are not a charitable tax deduction for federal income tax purposes. The Chamber’s fiscal year is January 1 through December 31.
I encourage you to be an active member of the Arcola Chamber of Commerce. The investment you make now will most certainly help build a bright future for your community.
